From Mason Ducharme, PhD Candidate

I have used Jesse’s services through her company, Toadstool Editing, for both developmental editing of an academic journal article and a chapter review for my PhD. Jesse has been exceptionally helpful, providing clear and actionable feedback. She has a remarkable ability to distill multiple reviewers’ comments into comprehensible and practical guidance. Her service is not only affordable but also timely and of exceptional quality. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking to avoid the headaches of academic writing and editing!

From Victoria Gladwish, author of The Nature of Forgiveness

Working with Jesse Savage has been a delight. Jesse provided a line and copy edit of my 80,000+ word fiction manuscript. A true professional––she was on-time and on-budget. Prior to the line and copy edit, Jesse provided a beta read for me, and I found her comments and suggestions to be logical, specific, and handled with care. Feel comfortable entrusting your work to Jesse.

From Camilla Patten, author of A Warrior’s Ride to Shine: A Guide to Awaken Your Inner Strength on a Bicycle:

As a first-time writer, I am so grateful for Jesse’s expert eyes on my manuscript. She took my work and helped me transform it into a product that I could feel good about. My first draft was fragmented and hard to read. Jesse’s suggestions allowed me to correct this aspect of my writing in a way that was easy to understand and accept without changing the meaning. She provided insightful perspectives and helped sculpt the content of my story. She gave thorough explanations of all the changes she made and coached me to be a better writer with much kindness. She was very patient, professional and dedicated throughout the entire process. I will definitely come back to her again for my next project.

From Brian Douglas, author of They Flutter Behind You:

4 stars. I was very pleased with the work Jesse did. It was exactly what I had hoped for…She read the novel and critiqued it based upon character development, voice, narrative arc, style, and flow. I was very happy with her comments and suggestions. She was able to pick up, with amazing accuracy, subtle foreshadowing early in the manuscript—most encouraging. One highlight for me arose in her comment of the title of the book. She suggested that perhaps I consider a title based upon The Boy Who Cried Wolf, a metaphor subtly eluded to a few times throughout the novel. What she could never have known is that until only a few weeks before I submitted They Flutter Behind You, the title of the book had been The Boy Who Never Cried Wolf. And now I have to rethink the title. Very well done, Jesse. Thank you very much.
